On Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM ET, the Midwest Regional Children's Advocacy Center will host a 90-minute webinar entitled, How Early Trauma is Being Investigated - Causes, Biological Sequelae, Behavior Problems, and Management Strategies.

Adverse childhood events (ACE's) are currently a major research focus in public health. This presentation will review current understanding of ACE's, including their biological mechanisms and long-term impact on the growth, development, and future health of children.

Learning Objectives:

  • Become familiar with the concept of ACE's
  • Understand the fundamental biology of stress in humans
  • Hear a review of current research regarding brain and bodily changes as a sequelae to early stress and trauma
