PYO Committee Education Series: Policy Implications

24 Thu
January 2019

On Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019 from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. EST the Council of Juvenile Correctional Administrators (CJCA) Positive Youth Outcomes Committee will host a webinar based on the PYO Educational Webinar Series on Policy Implications.

CJCA has sponsored a year-long educational series intended to support the CJCA membership in delivering high quality educational services to youths. Education is a critical deliverable for juvenile justice administrators and increasingly important to the youth’s positive outcomes and a successful reentry. It was the PYO Committee's goal to share the message that the correctional education landscape is changing as we learn more about the importance of classroom excellence, technology, effective re-entry, post-secondary strategies, special education and other key elements of a comprehensive educational system.

This is the final webinar in this series. The committee's intention is to provide an interactive format where we will touch on critical points in the series and allow more time for questions that came up in the course of the prior presentations. Webinar participants are encouraged to use this platform to engage with the teams in your home states as you strategize areas for growth locally and statewide.
