Purpose: To raise awareness about the issue of juvenile status offenders and the risks they face in becoming more deeply involved in serious risk behavior, offending and the juvenile justice system; and to highlight legislative reforms, policies, programs, and practices around the country that have shown promise in effectively intervening with status offenders and their families, to reduce further offending and steer them toward a positive future.
